Blogging and Posting Online Photos with Broadband Internet

What is Blogging?

"Blogging" means writing something in one’s "weblog" or online Web page. Blogging takes the form of conversational or informational posts which are uploaded onto a site every so often, and are usually arranged in reverse chronological order, so that the most recent post is seen first. Blogs are able to be used and viewed by anyone on the Internet, although some sites do require a screen name and password to access the site. Blogs are conversations, not advertising billboards. You post a blog, and someone else responds to it.

Blogging - Why a Broadband Connection Makes it Easier

Blogging can take place on every conceivable topic, from the news, to movies, to product reviews. If you have something to say about a topic, there’s usually a blog online you can join!

Although blogging can be done with dial-up connections, it is fairly difficult to do so. This is because each individual entry must be uploaded onto the site, and without a fast connection, this can take some time to do. In addition, blogs can also be used to post photos. Photos tend to be somewhat large files, especially if they are taken with high resolutions. For this reason, photos can take a very long time to upload with dial-up connections. However, uploading photos to a site with a broadband connection such as cable or DSL can take only a matter of seconds!

It’s sort of like if you’re having a conversation with someone, and it takes them three minutes to respond to everything you say (that’s what dial-up is like). But if you have a broadband connection, your conversation takes place at rapid-fire pace!

Blogging - One of Broadband’s Best Uses!

Blogging can be a great resource for learning about new products and services, as it allows you to read and respond to feedback from actual users of the products or services. In most cases, you’re also able to contact the bloggers directly through an e-mail address that might be provided, so it’s a great way to make contacts as well! And, with a Wi-Fi broadband connection, you can take a break from work at a coffee shop and hop onto a blog and share your thoughts.

You can also use your broadband connection to easily create your own personal blog for friends and family members to view. In addition to instant messaging and other online chat programs, blogging is a great way to stay in touch and keep the people you care about updated on your life!
