XCam2 Provides Wireless Webcam Security

What XCam2 Is

XCam2 is a wireless video camera smaller than an iPod (with an optional battery pack for greater flexibility) with a receiver that connects to your TV, VCR or PC system. XCam2 can transmit LIVE COLOR video up to 100 feet. You can add multiple cameras and scan between the cameras like changing channels on your TV! The system can either be used by itself using a TV, VCR, or other video display or connected to a computer by way of the USB connection. Use it for home security, Internet communication, to keep track of your kids, or complete your bird watching life list.

Actiontec has released a new product called 54 Mbps Wireless Network Camera that provides extra security inside or outside any home. It is capable of connecting to a wireless network and through the Internet.  Live video can be captured and broadcast anywhere around the world. Practically speaking, the camera requires high-speed broadband Internet cable or DSL connections at both ends because the streaming video feed from the camera demands a lot of bandwidth. However, just when you thought it was safe to go into the recreation room, there’s a new twist on security. The Rbot worm attacks Microsoft security weaknesses and sets up a Trojan horse. Once installed on a computer infected by the MyDoom worm, remote hackers can easily gain access to your PC, hard drive and passwords.
