Cox Launches Wireless Service

In an attempt to compete with wireless carriers such as AT&T and Verizon, Cox Communications has launched its own wireless service in a few test markets. Cox Communications is using its portion of the 700-MHz spectrum to offer cellular voice services.

Verizon Wireless said Monday that it will offer live mobile TV over its V CAST Mobile TV service in four additional markets, some of which have direct competition from AT&T Mobile TV.

AT&T announces satellite TV for vehicle video systems

A new service announced today by AT&T would allow subscribers to receive satellite TV and radio for rear-seat entertainment systems in cars, trucks and SUVs. Called CruiseCast, the service is available in the continental U.S. and offers 42 channels of content for a monthly rate.
