Charter Communications launched in 1993 as a very small cable television company selling analog video. Their top goals as a company have always been to provide their customers with the best service and technology available at prices that were affordable for everyone.
Their initial vision was to form a “Wired World.” This “Wired World” was meant to bring every home and business together into a global broadband network by connecting all forms of communications, including television, computers, and the Internet together.
As the evolution of computers and the Internet progressed at a fast pace, so did Charter Communications. Before long, Charter Communications was providing more than just cable television.
Charter Communications Today
Today, Charter Communications is known for their abundance of services. They are a successful, Fortune 500 company that offers a variety of communications services for homes and businesses. Among these services include digital television, high speed Internet, business to business video, data and Internet protocol solutions, and many more under Charter Media.
It has become apparent that the original vision that Charter cable held - to form the “Wired World,” has succeeded. Over the past decade, people have realized the improvements and benefits that the Internet can produce, causing many to purchase personal computers and order a high speed Internet connection. This rise of use in the Internet as a means of education, entertainment, and business affairs caused technology to soar through the roof at speeds that were never thought possible.
When Charter Communications first envisioned this “Wired World,” they did not think it was possible to achieve within a decade. But it happened. And today, Charter Communications is part of this huge broadband network, serving its many customers with a wide variety of communications services at fair prices.
