By Mike Peters

AT&T has announced the launch of AT&T U-verse integrated suite of services, including AT&T U-verse TV, AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet, and AT&T U-verse Voice to customers in South Bend. Delivered over AT&T's Internet Protocol (IP) network, the services are available now in areas of Granger, Mishawaka, Roseland, and South Bend and will become available to more homes on an ongoing basis.

Bob Nixon, AT&T general manager for Indiana and Michigan, said "With the launch of AT&T U-verse, South Bend area customers will have access to great features you can't get anywhere else."

AT&T U-verse TV Features

Where available, local AT&T U-verse customers can enjoy numerous TV benefits, including: a variety of subscription packages to choose from with up to 320 channels, music, local, movies, sports, and Spanish-language and international packages; more than 45 high definition (HD) channels; the ability to set the DVR from any location with a Web-connected PC or compatible AT&T mobile phone; and the ability to record up to four programs at one time on the DVR. Customers will also be able to use their television screen to view photos they've uploaded; weather, stock reports and portfolio, sports, and traffic information; Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football; YellowPages.com; and AT&T Yahoo! Games. AT&T U-verse TV also features a growing Video on Demand (VOD) library, as well parental control options.

AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet Features

AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet offers more bandwidth and speeds to meet the needs of consumers or small business broadband users, including four package options with optimum downsteam speeds up to 10 Mbps and upstream speeds up to 1.5 Mbps.

All AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet packages include wireless home or office networking at no extra cost, giving customers the freedom to access online photos, receive and send large data files, view streaming video, and access other high-bandwidth applications from a wireless-enabled laptop or other device. Subscribers also receive virtually unlimited e-mail storage, powerful anti-virus and anti-spam software and access to the nation's largest Wi-Fi network with free unlimited connectivity at more than 17,000 hot spot locations.

AT&T U-verse Voice Features

AT&T U-verse Voice is a next-generation digital voice service offering combined AT&T U-verse Voice and AT&T wireless voice mail with U-verse Messaging, which provides a single voice mailbox that can be accessed from any phone line or PC; U-verse Central, an online management portal that gives customers the option to manage call preferences, voice mail, contacts, call history, and more from any PC, in addition to the ability to control call preferences from the home phone; an online voice mailbox to check, manage, and forward voice mail from the online portal, much like an e-mail inbox; Call History, which allows customers to view recent incoming and outgoing calls online or to view recent incoming calls on the AT&T U-verse TV screen; Click to Call, which will initiate a call from the home phone to any number in Call History with one click of a mouse or the U-verse TV remote control; a feature-rich online address book; Locate Me, which provides simultaneous ringing on up to four wireless or landline numbers so customers never miss an important incoming call; as well as traditional features such as Call Screening, Call Blocking, Do Not Disturb, and privacy settings.
