Bright House has announced the launch of PowerBoost for its Internet subscribers in Indiana at no additional charge. The new technology will increase the download speeds for Bright House Broadband Internet Turbo customers to up to 22 Mbps.
"We are very excited to be delivering this free, time-saving feature to our Broadband Internet Turbo customers throughout Indiana," said Buz Nesbit, president of Bright House Networks Indiana. "PowerBoost will jumpstart a large file download, thus reducing overall download time and giving users more time to enjoy the multitude of media available online, including that made available through RoadRunner.com. Our goal is to provide our customers with quality service and with products that continue to make their lives easier."
Bright House Offers Internet Speeds up to 22 Mbps with PowerBoost
The speed provided by PowerBoost is available to customers who subscribe to Broadband Internet at a specific level and pending available network capacity. For example, Broadband Internet Turbo customers with a current speed of up to 15 Mbps will now enjoy PowerBoost speeds up to 22 Mbps. Once a PowerBoost is completed, a download in progress will continue at a normal speed. No file downloads are required for the activation of PowerBoost. The technology works with today's compatible cable modems, home networking gateways, and voice eMTAs (combination high-speed Internet modems and phone adapters).
Both Broadband Internet Turbo with PowerBoost and RoadRunner.com are available exclusively through Bright House Networks.
