Comcast Plans 14 More HD Channels in Colorado |

September 25, 2008 By Jennifer Hull Comcast has announced it will be adding 14 additional high definition (HD) channels to its customers in Longmont, Colo. With a $6 million upgrade to the area scheduled for completion within six weeks, Comcast customers will have more choices in their high definition viewing. When the upgrade is completed, the 14 new high definition channels Comcast will be adding to its lineup include ABC Family HD, Cinemax HD, The Disney Channel HD, HBO HD, Home and Garden TV (HGTV) HD, KTVD HD, KRMA (PBS) HD, KWGN (CW) HD, The National Football League Channel (NFL) HD, The Science Channel HD, Starz HD, Showtime HD, Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) HD, and The Learning Channel (TLC) HD. Comcast Upgrades Add HD Channels, Digital Cable Networks, and Pay-Per-ViewAs the upgrades are installed, neighborhood by neighborhood, Comcast will notify customers approximately 30 days ahead of when the new high definition programming will be available to them. In addition to the new high definition channel lineup, Comcast subscribers will be receiving new digital cable networks including The Colorado Channel, Fox Business Channel, and TV One, as well as 35 new pay-per-view channels that include programming from Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the National Hockey League (NHL).
