Turbine Announces "Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria" Beta Program

Turbine, Inc. has announced that its highly anticipated expansion, "The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria," is in the final stages of its beta program. Players in the U.S. and Europe may now register for a chance to play game.

"The Lord of the Rings Online" is an award-winning massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) filled with the familiar people, places, and monsters from one of the most powerful and epic fantasy literary works of all time, J.R.R. Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

"Mines of Moria" expands the online world of Middle-earth to let players adventure into one of the largest and most dangerous online underground environments ever created. Players will find new challenges with two new classes, ten additional levels, and hundreds of new quests while exploring the ancient underground cities of the dwarves in the heart of the Misty Mountains, battling epic characters in the depths, facing off with the Watcher, and being a part of the fateful release of Durin's Bane.
