Turbine Announces "Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria" Launch Date

Turbine has announced the launch date of the eagerly anticipated "Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria." The award-winning massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) will be available in stores across North America and Europe on November 18. Pre-order and early upgrade programs are available now. Players in North America may pre-order "Mines of Moria" at participating retailers nationwide, and current and former players of "Lord of the Rings Online" can purchase an early upgrade. All those who order before the launch date will receive special subscription rates and unique in-game items.

Jeffrey Steefel, executive producer of "The Lord of the Rings Online," said, "On November 18 players will journey into Middle Earth to reclaim the ancient kingdom of Khazad-dûm. Response from the Beta Program has been phenomenal, and players in North America can secure their spot to adventure now in one of the most epic underground spaces ever created."

"Mines of Moria" Pre-Order Program an Early Digital Upgrade Program

Those who pre-order "The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria" Complete Edition or Collector's Edition, as well as current and former players of "The Lord of the Rings Online" who purchase an early digital upgrade to "Mines of Moria," qualify for discounted pricing: $9.99 per month when choosing a multi-month subscription plan or $199 for a lifetime membership.

They'll also receive special in-game items including The Cloak of Sunset, a unique cloak emblazoned with an image of the Hollin Gate; an exclusive in-game character title of "Moria Expeditionary;" one in-game token which allows players to choose one of eight unique in-game items after launch. (Current or former players purchasing an early digital upgrade will have access to the cloak and character title when they upgrade, and will receive three in-game tokens.) A bonus music CD is also available - a limited edition of the special extended "Shadows of Angmar" soundtrack with a special bonus track from "Mines of Moria." The pre-order program offer will be available until the game launches commercially on November 18.
