Verizon's 7 Mbps High Speed Internet Now Available in Florida Communities

Verizon has announced the availability of high speed Internet service with speeds up to 7 megabits per second (Mbps) to nearly 40 communities in west-central Florida. The new service more than doubles the current download speed of Verizon's digital subscriber line (DSL) and allows users to download information at speeds up to 125 times faster than dial-up.

"Our DSL provides all the speed you need for everything you do online at a reasonable cost. For consumers who aren't yet able to order our FiOS Internet service but want the value of Internet access through Verizon, our fastest High Speed Internet service is the answer."

Verizon High Speed Internet service is delivered on a dedicated line from Verizon's central office to the customer's home. Features include: online protection with Verizon Internet Security Suite of anti-spyware, anti-virus, firewall, parental control, pop-up blocker, and privacy manager protection; Verizon Enhanced Email expands storage capacity - up to 4 gigabytes - and lets customers store as much mail as they want for as long as they; anywhere access from a mobile phone to a home e-mail account with Get It Now-enabled phones from Verizon Wireless; Verizon Premium Tech Support provides expert assistance for a wide variety of issues such as spyware, adware, viruses, hardware problems, and computer operating systems; online gaming from Verizon gives customers access to hundreds of the most popular PC games; Disney Connection; ABC News Now; ESPN360; and NFL Experience Online for customers who subscribe to Verizon High Speed Internet.
