Comcast Introduces a Streaming TV Service
December 17, 2009
Comcast customers can now watch thousands of television episodes online that were previously unavailable. The new Comcast service, called "Fancast Xfinity TV", allows customers to watch television shows anytime, anywhere.
With more and more people signing up for cable subscriptions and watching movies and television shows online, cable providers such as Comcast have adjusted their offers to include that of streaming video content. This move is geared towards allowing customers to watch their favorite shows on their computers while staying connected to cable programming.
After logging into Xfinity service via Comcast.net or Fancast.com, Comcast users will have to install a program before using the service for the first time. The Xfinity service will include premium shows from channels such as A&E, Discovery, AMC, History, TLC, and more.
