Cox adds sports networks in Arizona and Orange County

Cox subscribers in Arizona and Orange County, California will be able to see games on the CBS College Sports Network and MountainWest Sports Network (The Mtn.), on the Cox Digital Sports and Information Tier beginning August 1.

CBS College Sports Network, the original 24-hour college sports network, will be located on channel 187 in Arizona and channel 314 in Orange County. The Mtn., the first network dedicated solely to an intercollegiate athletic conference, will be shown on channel 188 in Arizona and channel 313 in Orange County.

"The recent growth and success of Mountain West Conference athletics is making the conference a must have for college sports fans and distributors nationwide," said Bob Rose, executive vice president for distribution, CBS College Sports Network.

Kim Carver, general manager of The Mtn., said the network has already been available to Cox subscribers in San Diego and Las Vegas.

"We are always looking for new channels to enhance our channel line-up and are excited to offer more and more sports programming," said Ivan Johnson, vice president of TeleVideo-Cox Arizona.
