Cox introduces FaithFamily Movies subscription

Cox cable subscribers in Northern Virginia will have access to a new subscription on demand service featuring faith-based movies from Faith & Family Entertainment, the cable and high speed internet provider announced.

Faith & Family Movies will present six new faith-themed movies directly to subscribers each month. Original faith-based series and mini-series will be added to the service in the future, Cox said. The package is available for $6.99 per month.

"Family entertainment has never been easier or more convenient than with Cox Digital Cable," said Christine Pantoya, vice president of sales and marketing.

Featured films will include actors such as Katherine Heigl, James Earl Jones, Faith Ford, Eriq LaSalle, Ed Asner, Lori Loughlin, Cicely Tyson and Christian Bale.

Faith & Family Entertainment said it is the leading producer of "wholesome, Christian-themed movies and mini-series in the world." It has produced more than 130 Christian and faith-based films.

Cox has also worked to promote a family-friendly space on its Cox high speed internet service, through parental controls and programs to help parents talk to their teens about online behavior.
