AT&T U-verse Arrives in South Florida

AT&T announced that its U-verse TV and U-Verse High-Speed Internet service has been launched in parts of Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties. Delivered over AT&T's Internet Protocol (IP) network, U-verse brings together television, broadband, and wireless services. The company expects to make U-verse available to more customers throughout south Florida on an ongoing basis.

"AT&T has made a commitment to help customers in the Southeast benefit from faster and wider delivery of services like AT&T U-verse," said Rob Bentley, AT&T vice president and general manager for the Southeast region. "We look forward to expanding U-verse services and video to more customers in the Southeast."

AT&T High-Speed Internet Speeds up to 10 Mbps

AT&T U-verse High-Speed Internet offers downstream speeds up to 10 Mbps and upstream speeds up to 1.5 Mbps. Where available, local AT&T U-verse features include:

* A selection of television packages and 100 percent digital television service with up to 320 channels, including digital music, local, movie, and sports programming. All packages include HD-capable equipment, and most packages include an HD-capable digital video recorder (DVR).

* A Spanish-language package which features novelas, movies, news, sports, children's programming, talk shows, and more.

* More than 45 HD channels. U-verse TV supports both 720p and 1080i formats.

* The ability to record up to four programs at once using a DVR that can be set from any Web-connected PC or compatible AT&T mobile phone by using the customer's AT&T High-Speed Internet account.

* Customers can upload photos with AT&T Online Photos from Flickr and watch slide shows on their TV screen.

* AT&T U-bar, which brings customizable weather, stock, sports, and traffic information to the TV screen, without interrupting the current program.

* Yellowpages.com TV for fast and easy searches to find local businesses and other information via the TV screen.

* AT&T Yahoo! Games, allow online game play on the TV screen.

* A Video-on-Demand (VOD) library.

* Easy-to-use parental controls.
