Comcast to Debut Cable Shows Online By Year's End
November 12, 2009
If you are a current Comcast subscriber, or if you're thinking about signing up for Comcast service, you will soon be able to watch cable television shows such as HBO's "Entourage" and AMC's "Mad Men" on your computer without paying any extra price.
Comcast is to be the first cable provider to give their customers free online access to well sought after cable television shows, and aims to replicate the Video On Demand concept already found via cable television. The service will be available by the end of the year.
After being verified by their cable system, Comcast will allow subscribers to access the online shows via their laptop, desktop computer, at work, and more.
Other cable providers such as Time Warner Cable plan to follow suite and offer similar services for their customers in the near future.
How does this impact you? If you are a current Comcast Cable subscriber, or potential new customer, you can enjoy free online access to premium channels and shows.
