Comcast, in an agreement with NBC Universal (NBCU), will provide its customers with NBCU's extensive coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Delivered over the company's fiber optic network, Comcast customers will be able to access Olympics programming on multiple platforms.

Thousands of Hours of Olympics Coverage for Comcast Customers

Comcast will provide thousands of hours of NBCU's wide-ranging coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games including a variety of on-air and online viewing options through NBCU's multiple broadcast and cable networks, high-definition (HD), video on demand (VOD), and 2,200 hours of broadband content available on NBCOlympics.com via a link from Comcast's website.

While offerings may vary by system, in addition to the more than 1,200 total hours of Olympics coverage on seven NBCU networks - NBC, USA Network, MSNBC, CNBC, Oxygen, Telemundo and Universal HD - Comcast nationwide will deliver more than more than 700 hours of HD coverage on networks including NBC HD, Universal HD, and USA HD.

Programming available on Comcast Central gives viewers a place to simultaneously watch numerous events via access to multiple live NBCU feeds. Pre-recorded Olympic content, interactive text buttons, a continuous medal count, and Olympic news headline updates will also be available.

NBCU's pre-Games On Demand coverage includes special clips, 60 programs including "Beijing 411," "Meet the Athletes," and "Team USA Preview," which are available now. Once the Games begin, viewers will have instant access to catch up with daily highlights, events, and more. Next-day highlights from the Beijing Games will also be available. NBC's "In-Games" On Demand package will feature daily highlights by sport.
