Cox Network Upgraded to Improve Internet Speeds and Performance

Cox Communications announced that it has tapped Juniper Networks in the second phase of its national backbone expansion. Cox is upgrading its core network with Juniper’s T-series routing platform to improve network performance and scalability. With increased customer demand for real-time services requiring lightning fast Internet speeds, Cox is dedicated to improving its already fast broadband Internet access plans with the most up-to-date core routing technology.

Demanding Online Applications Improved by Cox High Speed Internet Network Upgrades

Although Cox is already well-equipped to provide its customers with excellent and lightning-fast Broadband Internet, the advent of demanding online applications has motivated Cox to upgrade its backbone network. In recent years, Cox has seen increased demand for technologically demanding services and features like advanced video, streaming movies and online applications, and Voice over Internet Protocol, or VoIP, phone technology.

The new Cox network will allow its customers to make full use of these exciting technologies. Because Cox is upgrading its nationwide network with state-of-the-art Juniper routers, all of Cox’s broadband Internet customers will enjoy faster download speeds and better performance in online applications.

With improved Cox Internet access, customers using VoIP programs on their PCs will be able to make free long-distance calls to anywhere in the world, without the reduced sound quality and vocal hiccups of transmitting video and voice data over less advanced networks. With Cox broadband Internet, customers devoted to quality digital video in applications like online teleconferencing and streaming movies, will experience faster download speeds and smoother video feed.

Cox Internet is Dedicated to Improving Your Internet Experience

Currently, VoIP and teleconferencing are not living up to their full potential in the private sector, primarily because early adopters were forced to endure substandard performance due to slow connection speeds. If you have tried VoIP or teleconferencing in the past and were disappointed in slow, jerky video and sound, or have not yet made the jump to broadband Internet and would like to experience these services for the first time, try Cox broadband Internet for first-class online speed and reliability.
