April 7, 2009
AT&T and Verizon will both have key players at CONNECTIONS: The Digital Living Conference & Showcase, running June 2-4 in Santa Clara, California, Parks Associates announced today.
Glenn Lurie, president of emerging devices for mobile markets for AT&T will present the opening Keynote on June 2. Joseph Ambeault, Verizon's director of product development and management for video services will present the morning Keynote on June 3.
The Parks Associates-run trade show tracks developments and trends in the communications and entertainment markets, including the areas of new media and digital content, home systems and consumer electronics, the company said.
US revenues for broadband value-added services will exceed $1 billion by 2012, said Kurt Scherf, vice president and principal analyst at Parks Associates.
"As consumers acquire entertainment and support services, home systems, digital content, and CE, providers and manufacturers must craft solutions that candistribute these offerings seamlessly throughout the home," Scherf added. "CONNECTIONS provides a venue for all companies in the value chain to discuss business strategies and analyze the latest consumer research on service preferences and buying habits."
