FEARnet Signs Cable Distribution Deal with Time Warner

FEARnet has announced a distribution deal with Time Warner Cable to bring its horror and thriller digital on demand network to the cable provider's channel lineup beginning in August. With the addition of Time Warner Cable, FEARnet will be available in more than 29 million digital cable households across the country and will significantly increase the network's presence in New York and Los Angeles.

"With this extensive distribution through Time Warner Cable, FEARnet's horror and thriller content will reach a large cross-section of the population in key major markets. We are consistently filling a niche in the marketplace and attracting an ever-growing, audience," said Diane Robina, president of FEARnet.

FEARnet's successful first quarter this year pushed the company's video on demand channel and FEARnet.com website past the 160 million video views mark and increased the video on demand views by 40 percent.

FEARnet Video on Demand and Website Offer Horror and Thriller Content

FEARnet offers a mix of professionally produced original webisode series, and a library of feature-length horror and thriller favorites from Hollywood studios. The network's partnership with Ghost House Pictures - a venture between director Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Mandate's Joe Drake and Nathan Kahane - has produced two heavily viewed mini-series: "Devil's Trade" and "30 Days of Night: Blood Trails." The series generated more than eight million views online and on demand. FEARnet's six-week daily interactive fall series "Buried Alive," produced by Sony Pictures Television, yielded a large fan base.

FEARnet on Demand is available on Comcast, Cox Communications, Verizon FiOS, and Insight Communications and includes thriller, killer, and chiller horror titles from Sony Pictures and Lionsgate's film libraries. FEARnet.com users can explore the world of the macabre on a video-rich environment with movies, interactive community features, and fresh original content. The site features free streaming movies, download-to-own movies, social networks, news and reviews, and more.
