April 7, 2009
After last week's CTIA Wireless 2009 trade show, everybody, it seems, is unveiling applications for the popular iPhone. One app that could draw a crowd in this tough economy can send or "beam" a resume and electronic business card straight from your iPhone.
Combined with other iPhone and iPod Touch apps, the beamME CV app by tech company rmbrME can deliver help job seekers find openings and apply for positions in real time, the company said.
Launching this week on the Apple iTunes store, beamME CV includes beam history for easy follow-up and contact maps to remember where meetings took place. The company said it designed its platform so as not to require special software on the recruiter's end.
"Candidates need every advantage to connect with job opportunities in this tight market," said Marc Mencher, CEO of GameRecruiter. "beamME CV is a powerful tool in a job seeker's arsenal and one they can't afford to be without."
The company said it is offering beamME CV at a reduced price of $6.99 for unemployed job seekers and $9.99 before rebate.
