Time Warner Receives "Best Video on Demand" Award for High School Sports

Time Warner Cable (TWC) has been awarded the “Best Video on Demand Special Program Award” by CableFAX Magazine for TWC’S Carolina on Demand: High School Sports. Time Warner garnered the national award for its coverage of weekly, all-star, and statewide championship level games in North Carolina and its year-round efforts to cover and produce extensive coverage of North Carolina High School Athletic Association games and other prep sports events on Carolina on Demand.


Time Warner Cable Carolina on Demand Spotlights High School Athletes


“At Time Warner Cable, our Carolina on Demand programming spotlights the achievements of high school athletes across North Carolina,” said vice president and general manager of News 14 Carolina, Alan Mason. “We’re excited that our efforts, in conjunction with the NC High School Athletic Association have generated national attention.”


Other high school sports programming on Carolina on Demand includes basketball, wrestling, women’s volleyball, and soccer. Carolina On Demand Digital Channel 1234 is an exclusive service of Time Warner Cable customers. It is available to Time Warner Cable digital subscribers in the Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham/Fayetteville, Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High Point, Wilmington/Newport television markets and in areas served by TWC in South Carolina. Time Warner Cable’s free video on demand technology allows viewers to watch “On Demand” programming at any time by using their remote control to select, view, pause, and rewind the digitized content.
