Verizon introduces mobile broadband USB modem

Verizon Wireless and ZTE USA announced the release of a USB modem with global connectivity for laptop computers. The AD3700 is designed for connecting devices to mobile broadband internet and gives customers access to networks in more than 175 destinations.
The AD3700 will be available in Verizon stores beginning Friday, August 14th and costs $79.99 after a $50 rebate for customers who sign up for a two-year mobile broadband internet contract.
Ideal for individuals and organizations to stay connected while traveling, the USB modem automatically detects the local network and connects to the fastest internet speed available from almost anywhere in the world. Users just need to activate the global feature on their Verizon Wireless account.
The device is compact - weighing just 1.6 ounces and measuring just 3.1 inches by 1.7 inches with a thickness of 0.5 inches. It also includes a swivel hinge USB for better positioning.
Compatibility is not a problem, as the modem runs on all types of networks, including including Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO), which is the technology used by Verizon Wireless' high speed internet network.
Windows machines running Vista/XP/2000 operating system are compatible with a USB 2.0 port.
Purchase includes the VZAccess Manager software for easy connection management and automatic installation.
