Verizon launches Spanish-language website
March 12, 2009
Verizon this week launched a new website in Spanish to make it easier for Spanish-speaking consumers to get information about all of the companys products and services and to manage their account online.
Spanish-speakers can use the new site to find information about Verizon's products including FiOS TV, FiOS Internet and High Speed Internet services; bundles; and wireless phones and other offerings.
The site can be found at www.verizon.com/espanol or by clicking on the button labeled "Espanol" located on the top right-hand side of Verizons main website, verizon.com.
The company has provided in-language customer service support to customers in Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Korean and Vietnamese for the past 10 years. There are more than 1,000 employees at 13 Verizon consumer multicultural sales and solution centers in various parts of the country, the company said.
"Weve always had some content in Spanish because we know that some of our customers prefer to learn about our products and services in their native language," said Mark Studness, director of e-commerce for Verizon.
Hispanics constitute the fastest-growing minority group in the U.S., according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
