Verizon offering unlimited access gaming package
June 15, 2009
New and existing Verizon broadband customers in New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island can sign up now for unlimited access to more than 1,400 computer games for $9.99 a month, the company announced today.
Among the games offered in the package are family-friendly titles such as Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, Jewel Quest, the Price is Right, Boggle and Risk.
Customers who pine for the broadband lifestyle can play games over their Verizon FiOS internet or High Speed Internet (HSI) connection; or download games to their laptop for on-the-go play anywhere they have an internet connection.
The price is fixed for as long as a customer decides to keep the service and Verizon is offering the service free for the first two weeks of service for new subscribers.
"With unlimited games, our FiOS and HSI broadband customers can do away with those annoying game-rental late fees and the hassles of storing and cataloging game discs," said Susan Retta, vice president for Verizon broadband marketing.
The games offer is available throughout the summer.
